this series studies the candidates of the 2016 U.S. presidential primaries and subsequent election. each candidate is surrounded by shapes and patterns in the form of a mandala that represents their political platform. mandalas' patterns are often used to absorb the mind in a spiritual sense and lead its onlooker to contemplation, self-awareness, and consciousness. the candidates' mandalas are in the form of black & white illustrations and invite visitors to self-reflect on issues through coloring.
